WRC provides health outreach and education, connection to low-cost services, and patient navigation. We are a grassroots non-profit organization contributing to the well-being of people in Larimer County since 1975.
The Womenâs Resource Center serves women who have been identified by the Centers for Disease Control and the Colorado Cancer Plan as being at-risk for cancer and other diseases due to financial and access barriers. These barriers lead to unnecessary sickness and even death in some cases. Their vision is to provide Larimer County residents the confidence and tools to take responsibility for their health issues and be an active participant in their own health:
For Women:
⢠Accurate knowledge to manage their own health and wellness
⢠The ability to obtain affordable, quality health care
For Men & Women
⢠Connections to affordable dental care

High Park Fire at 10:30pm last night...
This was the view from Bob Cat Ridge Natural Area looking north at about 10:30pm on 6/12/2012. This was taken with a 140mm lens at ISO 6400 with a 20 second exposure. And yes I know it's illegal to be in there after dark...

Northernmost Point In Europe
On a cruise to the North Cape and Fjords of Norway, I stood at the North Cape, the northernmost point in Europe which is above the Arctic Circle. It was rainy and cold and we learned later that the wind was 56 mph. At times I could not walk forward, the wind was so strong.

IBMC Kicks it to High Gear for Bike to Work Day
The Fort Collins Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC), Recycled Cycles and Natural Grocers are teaming up for this year's 25th Annual Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, June 27th.
Community members are invited to stop by Recycled Cycles at 4031 S. Mason Street between 6:30am-9:30am for a complimentary continental breakfast, consisting of their legendary blueberry pancakes, refreshments and prize give-a-ways!
“IBMC is a proud partner for this year’s Bike to Work Day. Whether you’re a novice or expert trail blazer, we encourage employees and community members to ride their bikes to work and stop by for a delicious breakfast.
Eric Thompson, Campus Director, IBMC of Fort Collins
This year, the City of Fort Collins, in-conjunction with Climate Wise and area businesses, will have forty Breakfast Bike Stations throughout the city that community members may visit. A number of the stations also offer courtesy bicycle technician servicing and heart health education.
Bike riding poses many advantages. With the perks bike riding offers over other transportation methods, including: reducing one's carbon footprint, affordable, losing weight and healthier living, this year's Bike to Work Day is gearing towards a substantial increase for community participation.
For more information about Bike to Work Day and a list of the participating locations, please visit www.fcgov.com/bicycling.

High Park Fire smoke over the Devil's Backbone
This may be the 2nd shot of this picture I've sent? Our computer runs off a satelite dish & the smoke from the fire is distorting our signal. This is a picture of the sun coming up over the backbone. The Highland Fire smoke is giving everything a surreal look.
