The public art of Loveland, Colorado

A metal chaser polishes a bronze piece at Dream Chasers, a Loveland metal finishing shop.

Loveland, Colo., with a publicly-owned collection of 283 pieces, is an art-lover’s dream. Numerous additional artworks are privately owned but viewable by the public. The city’s public art reflects the work of more than 200 artists.

Most of the Loveland Art In Public Places program's artwork is bronze sculpture, indicative of the large community of sculptors and foundries that call Loveland home. But the collection also contains a wide variety of other art types and media, including oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, chalk, photography and more.

This Web site is an ongoing project of the Reporter-Herald newspaper. Photos and information are added frequently.
